Megan Sandrock

omalleyEarly Childhood Teacher
Starflower Room (2.5 to 5 years-old)

“Everyday in  the Sunflower Room is a celebration of life. I am truly grateful to be a part of the Early Childhood program at Madison Waldorf School. My daily work is to nurture the growing child through the rhythms of the day, week, and seasons. This work brings security and confidence to their bodies and minds. Preparing wholesome, home made meals and eating in community creates a sense of appreciation and instils a basic pleasure amongst the children. Circle time, story time, indoor and outdoor child led play enables the child to expand their ability to imagine, create, and explore.”

Megan holds a BFA from Denison University, Ohio and a Masters of Education from National-Louis University, Chicago. She is currently completing a Master in Waldorf Education through Great Lakes Teacher Training and Mount Mary College. Megan has spent many years teaching in urban environments in Chicago and East Palo Alto as well as private schools in Madison. When she is not teaching, she loves being outside with her family. We are grateful to have her with us at Madison Waldorf School.
