JOIN US FOR AN OPEN HOUSE
A Window into the Waldorf Grades Curriculum
Thursday, October 4th, from 7 – 8:30 PM

This is an opportunity to find out about Waldorf education in the grades program here at Madison Waldorf. Our grade school is rooted in the belief that the needs of childhood must be preserved and honored, and in keeping with the Waldorf education philosophy, our curriculum is structured to compliment the student’s developmental stages. It is an approach to education that honors every student’s enthusiasm for initiative, creativity and social responsibility. Lessons balance cognitive and emotional intelligence, and physical activity, and each academic subject receives intense focus over the course of a year, and integrates academic work with practical and fine arts.

We will be offering tours of the school, and faculty and staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have about our early childhood and grade programs.

The Waldorf educational philosophy is committed to nurturing the whole human. Our curriculum integrates arts and movement with a rigorous academic education to foster artistic expression, critical thinking, problem solving, athletic judgment, and sound reasoning. Waldorf graduates are creative and ethically aware young people intellectually prepared for the most demanding colleges, and eager to engage with the world around them. Waldorf pedagogy nurtures healthy emotional development by conveying knowledge experientially as well as academically.
