Accessible Education Grant
2024-2025

Madison Waldorf School offers need-based grant awards to students who qualify. Students in Grades 1-8, as well as preschool and kindergarten students enrolled for 4 or 5 full days, are eligible to apply for an Accessible Education Grant. Grant awards are based on demonstrated financial need.

To apply:

  • Submit an application for admission (new students) or re-enrollment paperwork (returning families).

  • Complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment online (see link below). For families in which the parents are divorced, separated, unmarried, or who otherwise file their taxes separately, both parents are required to complete their own FACTS application

  • New families are encouraged to submit their FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment as soon as they have submitted their application for admission.

  • The FACTS assessment requires submission of a copy of your 2023 Tax Return and 2023 W2 forms. ! It is important to file your tax returns prior to completing your FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment !

  • Deadlines: Families who submit their application for an Accessible Education Grant (including all supporting documents uploaded to FACTS) before April 1 will receive written notification of their award later in April. This is the first round of funding. Families who submit their AEG applications after April 1 will receive written award notification on a rolling basis after the first round of funding has been completed, pending funding availability.

  • Families awarded an Accessible Education Grant must return their contract, which will accompany the award letter, within 10 days of the date of the letter to guarantee their child’s place in class and retain their award amount.

  • Early application for admission/re-enrollment and early application for an Accessible Education Grant are encouraged because Grants are awarded from a limited pool of resources.

  • The Accessible Education Grant process is held in strict confidence and with deep respect for privacy. All awards are considered confidential agreements. Families receiving Accessible Education Grants may not share or publish their award information, in general or in detail, with their peers.

For families new to our Grant program, children up to age 5 may be eligible, based on need, for up to 50% in tuition reduction. Children age 5 and older may be eligible, based on need, for up to 60% in tuition reduction, with additional reductions for their siblings over age 5. We are unable to offer an Accessible Education Grant or even an estimate of what your Grant award could be without completion of the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.
